Anyway...

It's easy to debug a jsp that have error at the compile time (you see the
error messages in the web browser and these messages are explicit about
the causes) and it is also easy to debug a jsp that pass the compile time
(you can put breakpoints with JDE in the *.java that are in your
TOMCAT_HOME/work directory.
