I should spend more time with the Emacs debugging system.  This
behavior was of course documented.  Sorry, to 'steel' your time.

For some reasons, eieio.el, was the only of the eieio files, which
wasn't compiled.  After compiling XEmacs response again in the old,
fast way.  Thanks, for pointing that out.
