Hello!

I'm using emacs-20.7 on windows and I keep getting the message
"Cannot find JDK's tools jar file. See jde-get-jdk-dir." from it
when trying to compile a java source.

I've tried setting the jdk-dir manually but it probably gets overriden
by somthing since that wouldn't work. Running and debugging works fine,
but when I want to compile, i have to do it manually.

what i know, jde is supposed to use
      SHELL COMMAND_SWITCH javac OPTIONS BUFFER_NAME.java

as the compiling method, and I don't see why it wants tools.jar, since
it's running an external command when compiling.
the designated compiler (jde-compiler) is set to its default javac.exe
which of course lies in the system path variable, and i've set the
shell-file-name and shell-command-switch variables correctly

i'm using
jde-2.2.9.1
eieio-0.17
elib-1.0
semantic-1.4
speedbar-0.13a

btw, i'm obviously no expert in this matter, so if anything above seems
strange or anything, just ignore it. All i want to know is how to make
the jde-get-jdk-dir NOT to fail or how to "help" it find whatever it is
looking for, so that I can compile from within emacs.

I've read other posts about similar problems, but I did not understood
the answer/solution (if any).

thanks in advanced.

/rod
