try tar -jxcf instead of tar -zxvf

Of course, because GNU Emacs 21.2 does not support images on windows

The image-code for Windows is only in the cvs.
So, the image-style works only for XEmacs, GNU Emasc 21 for
Unix/linux or GNU Emacs 21 cvs.
