I tried installing the latest JDEE on the most recent XEmacs version I
could find (Debian xemacs21) about two years ago. I recall deciding it
was a non-trivial amount of work to get it to be compatible, but the
details are now fuzzy.
I did poll the list back then to see if anyone wanted to take a shot at
it, and it was mostly crickets all around. At that time I did notice
that XEmacs still bundled an older, working version of JDEE ;)
I used XEmacs almost exclusively for a decade starting in the mid 90's,
and I'm sad to see it go. Unfortunately, I think it's time to drop it
from JDEE until we get some one to actively maintain compatibility.
