Indeed, a couple of months ago we decided that the trunk could be used
for mainline development but it had not been synced up with the
contents of the 2.4.0 branch.  

I have now merged across the contents of the 2.4.0 branch into the
trunk, so anyone wanting to track the latest changes should switch
their svn sandbox to the trunk.
