Hello Len,

which variable exactly do you mean?

When I set jde-jdk-registry as following, it gives me the described error.

> (setq jde-jdk-registry '(("1.6" . "/usr/lib64/jvm/java-6-openjdk")))

When I do not set jde-jdk-registry to anything, I get the following error 
instead:
