I have interested in making a jabber client in Linux.

 Can I make jabber client easily with Jabberd API&C?

in Jabberd API Document, 
It said, mio_init() funsion is used internally by Jabberd upon startup, and should not 
be called, unless a call to
mio_stop() has been made,......

I think if I use Jabberd API, I must use MIO_XXX(); aren't you?

 I am seeking advice.
