Well, there's not really a clean way to tie directly into the presence
system at this point. However, if you're up for a bit of code..here's
how it could be done...

1.) Create a module which plugins into JSM and redelivers presence
packets to an external component. 

2.) Create a component which recieves the presence packets and makes
them available via some interface.

/me contemplates

The most difficult part will be writing a module to support this.
