Well, Yahoo has taken a pretty tough stance towards any outside IM forces. As I understand it, they have started an internal transition towards a new authentication mechanism with the intent of blocking 3rd-party clients (or transports). Slowly, but surely, I think we'll see all 3rd-party clients blocked from using Yahoo.
