JET is essentially a firewall piercing Jabber component that allows
Jabber servers behind a firewall to connect to Jabber servers on the
open Internet. JET connects through the firewall on a one way, known
port to a known external IP address.

JET is essentially two components that are nothing more than JID
rewriters with a socket connection between them. The internal component
connects to the external component and passes Jabber packets back and forth.
