I'd like to "tentatively" volunteer to turn windows version into an official
service, cuz I need to do it anyway. What's the schedule for V2? Should I do
this in (whatever it is, 1.4.2) first?

I believe I saw a program somewhere last year that wraps certain
"regular" windows programs into services.  (I don't remember the
requirements, perhaps console only, etc.)
