I could get it from <presence/>. If I'm connected with the jid [EMAIL PROTECTED], I could have a resource like [EMAIL PROTECTED]/Psi for my IM client, and [EMAIL PROTECTED]/soap for some soap services related to my jid. In this case each other client in the roster would get <presence/> from both connected entities.

For this reason perhaps I should update the JEP 72, adding that clients offering soap services should be connected using the soap resource.
