There have been some private discussion of this, but no results. My Coccinella 0.94.11 has implemented one attempt to reproduce Tiny SVG, but there are LOTS of complications. You can use this protocol by following the instructions in the README file. The implementation is far from complete, and not that well tested. You can switch on debug to see the xml I/O. I can send the docs I have on request.
