I believe that while MSN uses SIP for establishing sessions for various 
functionality within the client, the messages themselves do not 
remotely resemble any SIMPLE draft.

I have heard some variant of SIMPLE is used in the exchange IM server 
and custom client.

Yes, thanks! Still a question: is MSNP10 based on the SIMPLE 
"standard"? I place standard between quotes, because I thought that 
that specification isn't finished yet...
