This is a feature that has been asked for by my users as well as my friends
users. I think what the biggest drawback would be is that previous 1-to-1
conversation data would be lost when "converting" to a MUC.

I'm not all that familiar with how Windows Messenger does the conversion,
but I do know that you don't have to "make a room" and then go join it.

It would be a good feature for those migrating from Exchange Messenger and
looking for as many comparable features as their previous solution.

Actually I was talking about converting 1-to-1 to a conference, not
private 1-to-1 within a conference. :)
