What kind of problems have you encounted? I am not using Smack yet, but have need for A Java API for Jabber/XMPP later this year.

I've been using the Smack API from Jive Software but I've run into some problems with it for which I'm having trouble getting support. If anyone on the list can recommend a good alternative (i.e. simple to use, reliable and well documented) I'd really appreciate it.
