Hm, it's always good to have alternatives, however, I don't think libpurple would be a good one - it's known to have security issues all the time and it's ICQ and MSN support aren't very good. While the MSN support is still better than that of pyMSN-t, pyICQ-t works way better for me than libpurple. What would be more interesting maybe would be a way to turn Miranda plugins into gateways, as those most of the time have very decent support for proprietary plugins. AFAIK, Miranda got by far the best opensource plugins to connect to ICQ. -- Jonathan
