Hi, we are happy to announce JSXC, a browser-based XMPP chat taking advantage of HTML5 and integrates into existing web pages. Among the features are:
* Full-featured XMPP client in the browser, no client installation required * Easy integration into your existing web page or application * Interaction with your web page, e.g. making Jabber IDs active * Uninterrupted browsing among JSXC-enhanced pages * One-to-one chats, optionally with end-to-end encryption (OTR) and user verification (SMP) * End-to-end encrypted audio and video calls from Firefox and Chrome without plugin * A growing number of international languages supported * Event notifications with sound if browser/tab inactive (not yet supported in Internet Explorer) * Multiple tabs stay in sync (not yet supported in Internet Explorer) More to come… Could you please add JSXC to your client software list at https://xmpp.org/xmpp-software/clients/ (JSXC, Browser, http://jsxc.org)? Thanks, -Marcel PS: Some links for other products no longer work or should be updated according to information on the original web page: Claros Chat: new: http://www.claros.org/web/showProduct.do-id=2.html SamePlace: Domain used for advertisements only Slimster: Page empty Tigase Messenger: new: https://projects.tigase.org/projects/tigase-webmessenger Tigase Minichat: Not found on https://projects.tigase.org/projects/ XMPPchat: new: http://cgit.babelmonkeys.de/?p=xmppchat.git;a=summary There may be other broken links there; also, some projects seem to be inactive for years, maybe creating a category of archived/legacy clients would be adequate to not dilute the list of active projects…
