Hi,
A database Cubes is a software for database, if you want a name of Cube for
research : ESSBASE.
It's not a SGBD or RDBMS. It's an front of database structure or une
abtraction of database structure. Maybe, this notion is same of OLAP
server.
I think than this system is a closed software (not open).
