Usually in forms the space is replaced with + or %20.  I thought that if you use the submit on a form then it would handle encoding all special characters?  I didn't think it mattered whether get/post.  If you are using a form and then when a button is clicked you are trying to submit your own request then you would have to encode the values yourself.

hate to disagree with you ... but no it doesn't.

the % represents an escape sequence followed by the hex of the character it
is representing.

For %20  is SPACE
