Also, in case you do not need the full classloading functions Java WebStart 'may' suit what you need. http://java.sun.com/products/javawebstart/ It depends on exactly what you want to do, but it may be sufficient, alternatively if java.lang.ClassLoader is what you need and Davids link will get you started.
