Title: RE: [jdjlist] Oracle First Steps/ WebSphere

Sounds like it could be table permissions issue, and not Websphere.  Do you see (2) from the SQL prompt? Are you giving the JDBC driver the DB URL with the correct shema name?

Subject: [jdjlist] Oracle First Steps/ WebSphere

Hi All,

I have installed Oracle 8i, and have IBM WebSphere 4.o trial version. I am
trying to run the sample petstore application. There are a few issues that I
am facing:

(1) WebSphere is not picking up Oracle database automatically ( I can see
this from the Administrator's Console).
(2) I do "SELECT * FROM TAB" in Oracle, and I see only 5 basic tables. What
do I need to do in order to load the system tables? I logged in as the usual
"scott".

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Sai
