hm... how 'bout using decent operating systems? *GD&R* ;o))
a liitle off topic...I do not want to start an "my-OS-is-better-than-yours"
flame war and I know that lots of people simply have to use windows at work.
but if you want to save yourself the hassle at home, get LINUX, BSD or
something similar
for browsing & mailing. no problems with ".exe" and ".vbs" attachments there
;o)
if you *have* or want to use windows, take at least Win2000, use the
privilege system and *don't* do all
your work logged in as "administrator" (I know many developers who do...)
if your "surf&mail" user-account can't do any harm to the core system and
your valuablle data, the virus can't as well.
