I'm in urgent need of some 'down-to-earth' practical advice. I'm a fairly novice Java programmer but with a good OO background. I have a fair understanding of JSP and Servlets in general, though I am hazy about their deployment.....read on....!
By the end of the week I will be attending an interview and am expected to show a sample of my work...in the shape of an interactive website! My provisional plan is to employ JSP/Servlets and a simple database and then upload the completed work to the mycgiserver.com site. Is anyone familiar with this Java hosting service? Do I need Tomcat installed on my PC for testing? I have just installed FORTE and am still familiarising myself with its features. Can someone please help form a game plan? :-(
