[jdjlist] Portlet - Portal application

Oracle and IBM are promoting Portal application development to provide Personalised enviroment for the web users.The web page can be divided into the regions and we can develope portlet and assoicate them with that regions. These portlets can be J2EE applications or we can customise the Existing web application as a Portlet application.  Oracle Provides an API known as Portal JPDK to develop portlets.    I have few questions  and I would like to get feedback from users on this forurm.   1) I could not find any information about these Portlets on SUN'S J2EE SPEC or JSR.  Are these API are properietary to the Vendor ?   2)Does SUN provide API to support Porlet Development?     Nathan         ____________________________________________________ To change your JDJList options, please visit: http://www.sys-con.com/java/list.cfm Be respectful!
