I ended up just writing a small class to select everything from each table in one db, and insert it into the other, doing minor mangling where needed (MSSQL bit fields to PostgreSQL booleans), and various fields to "text" or something. Solved the problem and was only needed once off.

Might even extend the code somemore to make it more generic to use the net time I might need something similiar.
