For all the Applet experts out there:
I have a fairly simple applet. Compile it under JDK 1.3.1_03 Solaris. Runs fine on IE 5.5.
Upgrade the IE to JRE 1.3.1_06 --
Applet freezes for 1 minute or so, and finally gives the JavaScript error.
I see nothing in the Java console but this:

Registered modality listener
Unregistered modality listener [this is when I close the window]
Garbage collect ... completed.
Memory: 2184K Free: 1220K (55%) ... completed.

Any ideas on how to debug this are greatly appreciated.
I am now installing JDK 1.3.1_06 to try re-compiling again.
I tried to Google, and to RTFM, but came up empty.
So I would gladly go RTFM if you could only tell me which FM to R.
