Hello and Sorry that I a) used my C(++)-Compiler for the last 4 hours (to create what it can be used best for : an .exe file) and therefor couldn't try to stop this well-known "Java and .exe" discussion at an early stage b) tried to save bytes in my previous posting and did not mention (again) in any form the fact that my JDK and the Java 'compilers' of many other people create a pseudo machine code that is finally compiled just in time (JIT) to the requirements of the executing CPU / machine e.g. by the browser-plugin. ( Thanks to Austin Powers / Mr. Myers the apostrophe has become a more often used manner to e.g. say that a 'compiler' is not necessarily a compiler ) William, yesterday I've tested a modern software product (the Mindjet package somehow derived from MS-Project and -Powerpoint) : It uses Java(TM) applets contained on the CD-ROM to realize the interactive screen demonstration / help system and classical .exe files for the application itself (probably created with a C++ compiler). sincerely, U. Penski [EMAIL PROTECTED] the product of my last 4 hours might/will be available soon e.g. @ http://uuhome.de/penski/studsoft.htm ____________________________________________________ To change your JDJList options, please visit: http://www.sys-con.com/java/list.cfm Be respectful!
