||| OK Alan ||| ||| I'm convinced; Thinlets are the way forward...but are they? ||| What about Droplets or Canoo ULC. I presume Thinlets are ||| open source, which helps. Has anyone done a comparison?
Let me clarify here: Thinlets are the way forward ... for specific applications. Droplets are the way forward ... for specific applications. Swing is the way forward ... for specific applications. SWT is the way forward ... for specific applications. It all depends on what your application is. For me .. I use Thinlets when I need a lightweight UI that I know will run on all browsers right down to IE4. Something that does a little more than HTML. Droplets ... when I need a relatively powerful portable, downloadable desktop-browser application. Swing/SWT ... for full blown, installable, standalone applications. ____________________________________________________ To change your JDJList options, please visit: http://www.sys-con.com/java/list.cfm Be respectful!
