I found some books available from Amazon.com (and
therefore in any bookshop if you order it in) that deal as references to the
Java API. I have listed the ones that are of interest as a way of getting a
"hardcopy" of the Java API.
Would anyone recommend these ?
2 were mentioned on the JDJList -- the java
Developers Almanac and the Java in a nutshell books. Are these good API
references as well ?
The Java Developers Almanac seems good cos it seems
to give a lot of examples.

Yeah so I am
looking at trying to get a hard copy of the Java API to be able to look up for
example :-
1) where
status() is used and what it is about
2) methods
used in JButton to mainpulate the size of a JButton
and these seem
to be something that could be of use.
As mentioned,
the Java Almanac and the Java In A Nutshell were also mentioned in this regard.
Can people
comment on what would be a good buy to get a good reference to the Java API
?
