Or Satya even uses a GUI-based approach for the
checkbox (with Rectangle() and 2 drawLine() calls [when the checkbox is enabled]
within the mouseDown() method).
Example: the F1-key activated help/options
dialog of the applet e.g. @ http://uuhome.de/penski/soccer.htm .
This rudimentary method might reduce the necessity
of garbage collections and increase the compatibility of the product with
low-memory mobile JVMs.
