This is a request to backport the JDK 8 fix into JDK 7u12: 6671481: NPE at javax.swing.plaf.basic.BasicTreeUI$Handler.handleSelection http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6671481 The fix has already been pushed to JDK 8, as: http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk8/awt/jdk/rev/da55ef766e48 The code changes for JDK 7u12 are identical to the ones in JDK 8.
