Coleen pushed those 2 yesterday and I looked at getting that last one in
before the snap today, but it wasn't a trivial backport.
They just sent a new patch and I asked them to rework it against the latest hs24,
once that's done and reviewed Chris (Thalinger) or myself can push it

Thanks!
Alejandro

I see this addresses 2 of the 3 issues Andrew raised on the mailing list during the week.

Hopefully progress on the remaining port request can be discussed on the hotspot-dev mailing list if necessary:
8000780: make Zero build and run with JDK8

Approved.

Sean.

Requesting approval to integrate hs24-b28 into jdk7u12-b07.

A webrev is available at:

http://cr.openjdk.java.net/~amurillo/7u12/hs24-b28-jdk7u12-b07.webrev/

Pre-integration testing is in progress; the integration will proceed
only after SQE has analyzed the results and approved.

The fixes in the proposed integration are below. All have undergone
nightly testing and are already in a jdk8 repository.

7170638: Use DTRACE_PROBE[N] in JNI Set and SetStatic Field.
7173959: Jvm crashed during coherence exabus (tmb) testing
7196045: Possible JVM deadlock in ThreadTimesClosure when using HotspotInternal non-public API. 7200145: runtime/7196045/Test7196045.java fails with No class provided for `main'
8000622: Forgot to hg add and check in test for JDK-7170638
8004713: Stackoverflowerror thrown when thread stack straddles 0x80000000
8004802: jcmd VM.native_memory baseline=false crashes VM
8005035: new hotspot build - hs24-b28
