I'd like to point out that this feature depends on Java 1.5 and as such, means
that it would only be available with api2 and not api2-legacy.
That said, I have no objection in principle to these changes. They have no
backward compatibility issues and they basically formalize what many folks have
done in a non-standard way (see JDO_Test for an example...).
