While dropping the old API is fine for OpenSolaris, where libXinerama is
guaranteed, if you push this upstream, I'd suggest leaving the old API in
place for users building the code on releases older than S10U4 (the release
that first added libXinerama), and just changing the ordering in that last
function to use the "XFree" API first if present and the "Solaris" API as
a fallback.
