Hi all - I replaced the SUNWGlib sfwnv-78 package from SFWNV-gate with the SUNWGlib package from the SXCE78 DVD to make sure I use Sun shipped libraries (note that SUNWGlib exists on systems by default on SXCE78). It still failed. - I removed SUNWGlib from my machine and rebuilt SUNWgnome-libs. It works. - I built the SUNWGlib from sfwnv-80. It works. So, either when using onnv_80 you _need_ to run sfwnv_80 (I didn't see a flag day regarding Glib for onnv_80 but maybe it is a common rule I didn't get/read), or there is something ot quite right with the SUNWGlib package shipped with SXCE78 and in the sfwnv-78 repository. I uploaded a tar.gz file containing build logs for all three attempts. - SUNWGlib-SXCE78 contains the config.status config.log Makefile and SUNWgnome-libs.log file for building with SUNWGlib shipped with SXCE78. - sfwnv-80 contains the config.status config.log Makefile and SUNWgnome-libs.log file for building with SUNWGlib from sfwnv-80. - no-SUNWGlib contains the config.status config.log Makefile and SUNWgnome-libs.log file for building without SUNWGlib. You can find these files on my sparcling humble SparcStation 20 workstation using the following URL: http://pebbles.patrickale.org/archives/build-files.tar.gz -- Patrick
