AFAIK, enableInputMethods(false) is common but keysym values are different 
between Linux and Solaris.
Other remote desktop applications have the keytables per keyboards with 
exported configuration files.

Personaly I like KeyCode communications instead of KeySyms when I use 
MS-Windows and Solaris.
