Let me try rephrase this. cdrecord is an application, wodim is a suite.
wodim contains cdrecord and other tools.

I have check my /usr/bin in my Solaris machine and I have found:

In solaris

Not on solaris

isovfy

Those are 10 tools and functionalities we are trying to make available 
for users. And as far as I know, there aren't in Solaris.

I could be wrong, but I don't have any precise/explicit information to 
think otherwise.
