Over the past 3 days I have been reviewing our manpages and comparing them with the usage as reported by running commands with the --help or -? options.
I found a fairly large number of issues, which I have corrected, and are in this patch. The patch is large, so I compressed it with bzip to make it more reasonable to send as an attachment. Highlights of the patch include: - New totem.1 and totem-video-thumbnailer.1 manpages - New gnome-appearance-properties.1 and gnome-display-properties.1 manpages, so now all control-center related binaries once again have manpages. - Creation of an "old" subdirectory where I have moved some manpages that correspond to things we no longer ship. - Many programs weren't properly referencing gnome-std-options.5 and/or gst-std-options.5. Corrected a lot of these sorts of issues. - Considerable rework to control-center and related manpages to make them all more consistent. Removed references to old gnome-background-properties and gnome-font-properties. - Considerable rework to the rhythmbox.1 manpage. - New options for vte, eog, glade-3, gnome-about, gnome-terminal, gnome-dictionary, gnome-screenshot, nautilus, gconftool-2, vumeter, devhelp, update-mime-database, yelp - Add operands section to gtk-builder-convert - Removal of "<?Pub Caret>" cruft from manages. - Most pages now reference attributes(5) in the SEE ALSO section. Manpages that have an environment variable section now also reference environ(5). All GNOME libraries and committed interfaces now also reference gnome-interfaces(5).
