When writing about malloc, I often need a verb to describe what madvise(...,MADV_DONTNEED) does on linux (and what MADV_FREE does on BSD).
Is "purge" the right verb? Is "purge" used for other things in the mallocation world? Any help to make my writing clearer would be appreciated! -Bradley
