Hi Andy,
Is there anything that still needs doing before it does from staging to
real? e.g. Do you want the process tested?
I'd like to fill in some of the blanks before it goes live. Not all, just some.

Testing out the process would be good. Non-blocking, trying out some of the html->markdown converters to see what will help to get the content from openjena.org onto the CMS.

Most of all though, it's getting agreement on the IA, which has proved, well, an issue that stimulates discussion in the past :)

Maybe I should tinker a bit more then propose a vote on accepting the structure & design.

A non-blocker I noticed: the band of tabs across the top does not look
nice in a narrow browser window. And for me "narrow" is a normal one
with the bookmarks sidebar open.
OK. I'll play with the layout a bit, and maybe see about reducing the nav options.

What would you advocate being the smallest window size we comfortably support?

Maybe reduce the number of items with just the main jump points people
might want while wandering the site
Well, the problem with that is that, on a Javascript enabled site, we hide the navigation sections from the left menu to just show the second-level nav (otherwise the menu is very bushy).

Downloads is in the sidebar, as is support.
That's true.

"Getting involved" isn't to me a major jump point while navigating.
Under "About Jena" would work better (to me at least).
See previous comment on IA :) Getting involved is, to some project contributors, very important and should be part of the top-level navigation scheme.

Home/download/documentation would be the core set.

Home coudl be click on the logo.
As well, certainly. Iirc, the research shows that people don't always realise that a logo can be clicked for home.

Ian
