As expected, the discussion was a bit /multidirectional/, so the issue
isn't very clear. Some seem to agree, some saying this could be a
requirement for a 2.0 Update Center, and so on.

So, as advised, the subject was put on the agenda again for today's meeting
(starting in ~6h) to try and have a bit more time to find a consensus (or
at least some actions to head over /some/ clarification about this).
We'll see how it goes.
