I disagree that it is "a matter of proper feature specification", or
possibly I'm misunderstanding what you mean by "proper feature
specification".

The existing groovy pipeline code is a great help, even without a precise
specification of the groovy features which are not available.  I believe
that the rapid evolution of the pipeline capabilities is valuable to more
people (and more valuable) than detailed documentation of a set of slower
evolving pipeline capabilities.
