When you do manage to take over, its worth upgrading the parent pom to something modern. It comes with a lot of maven tools to scan for potential issues https://github.com/jenkinsci/google-container-registry-auth-plugin/blob/master/pom.xml#L21 It will def require some changes, but its worth doing - https://www.jenkins.io/doc/developer/plugin-development/updating-parent/
