Sebastian Gozin created JENKINS-13676:
-----------------------------------------

Summary: jenkins won't start due to incorrect JAVA_HOME set in
/etc/init/jenkins.conf
                 Key: JENKINS-13676
                 URL: https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-13676
             Project: Jenkins
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: core
    Affects Versions: current
         Environment: ubuntu 11.10, openjdk-6
            Reporter: Sebastian Gozin

Won't start, no feedback, no logging.
/etc/init/jenkins.conf has a hardcoded entry for JAVA_HOME pointing towards
/usr/lib/jvm/default-java or something. But I think it is only created by
either openjdk-7 packages or ubuntu 12.04. Neither of which Im using.

I can work around the problem but this was very surprising behavior. I believe
in the past some kind of fallback behavior was used to ensure it would pick up
a supported JDK.
