The change will not be picked up on the change log since it was not actually made in the branch (the branch root is marked in CVS as the version of the file post change, so there is no way of knowing that the change is intended to be listed in the change-logs.) The build would therefore be triggered by polling, but would show no changes during the build since no change entry is generated during the branch generation.
