Joe Hansche commented on Bug JENKINS-15308

Re the clarification: you're talking about if you have it all run together in the plugin config, right? But viewing the page in Confluence shows it with the + signs?

What happens if you view the page with the URL all run together, as: http://confluence/display/JENKINS/ReleaseNotesTestPage – does it redirect you? Did this page ever get renamed?

I can confirm that this environment works properly, without the "Unable to locate page" error:

  • Jenkins 1.480
  • Confluence 4.2.4
  • Uploading archived artifacts
  • Page name contains + (only in the URL, because they are actually spaces in the page title)
  • Jenkins job configuration works both ways, whether the Page Name contains spaces or plus signs.

A few more questions:

  1. When the job fails saying "Unable to locate page," does the job configuration page show "OK: Release Notes Test Page" under the page entry field? Or does it say something else?
  2. Does it say "OK: ..." if you enter it with a) spaces between words; b) + between words; and/or c) no separation between words?

For #2, you have to blur the field in order to trigger the verification check. It will either display "OK: <page name>" under the field if it succeeded, or it'll show a red "Page not found" error, with a "(show details)" link that will list a SOAP error message of ".RemoteException: You're not allowed to view that page, or it does not exist."
