Yoann Dubreuil commented on JENKINS-37141   Re: Dockerfile for blueocean nightly build As discussed in JENKINS-36828, we need to split the 2 use cases in 2 distinct Dockerfile, one using plugins available in the UC and one using SNAPSHOT build of the plugins. To properly distinguish those 2 use cases, I would be favor of using 2 different imgage tags in Docker Hub. So here is my proposal: use blueocean/blueocean Hub repository for images using plugins available in the UC (which includes alpha and beta releases of blueocean plugins). Tag images after plugin release number. Build those images with Dockerfile use blueocean/blueocean-dev Hub repository for images bundling SNAPSHOT builds of the plugins. Tag images after the branch name and the commit id. latest tag will be linked to the latest build of the master branch. Build those images with Dockerfile.dev. For this case, it makes sense to always replace blueocean plugins found in JENKINS_HOME with ones bundled in the image.
