They added the groovy.use.classvalue flag with a the default set to false to disable a feature (introduced in 2.4.0) that causes a memory leak. So setting the flag to true will replace one memory leak by another one?!? I think this needs more investigation. Maybe Jesse Glick can shine some light on us, he is mentioned in the related JDK bug (https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8136353).
